Convert minute of arc to degree

A degree divides into 60 minutes of arc (′) and a minute into 60 seconds (″), so a second of arc is 1/3600 of a degree. Astronomers use them for angular sizes: the Moon and the Sun are both about 30′ across, Jupiter about 40″, and the parsec is defined as the distance at which the Earth's orbital radius spans 1″. One minute of latitude on the Earth's surface is one nautical mile.
